Do you feel lucky? Well, do ya?

Be on the lookout for “Lucky” signs throughout the week of March 17th.  All Coworkers of Roth Staffing Companies (including Ultimate Staffing, Ledgent, Adams & Martin Group and About Talent) will be sharing photo signs declaring what makes them feel lucky.

We encourage everyone to share these Lucky photos.  Not just because it’s nice to spread gratitude, but because each photo will also be accompanied by a fact about childhood hunger.  What does being lucky have to do with childhood hunger?  There are more than 16 million kids in America who live in households that struggle to put food on the table—that’s 1 out of every 5 children!—and this St. Patrick’s Day, Roth Staffing feels lucky to support a campaign like No Kid Hungry® and their mission to end childhood hunger in the U.S.

Many of us are lucky not to struggle with hunger and we’re fortunate to be in a position to help.    We invite our coworkers, Ambassadors, customers, and local communities to support our Purpose:full initiative by donating your lunch money to help a child in need.  It’s our way of celebrating Roth Staffing’s 20th anniversary in 2014; by making a difference, showing appreciation, and doing the right thing.

In the end, our goal is to donate 1 million meals by our company’s 20th anniversary this year (on August 15th) in order to help end childhood hunger.  Why?  Because children who do not have enough to eat:

  • Don’t do as well in school
  • Are less likely to graduate from high school and attend college
  • Are much more likely to be sick more often
  • Are less likely to be able to earn a comfortable living and feed their families later in life

Luckily, Purpose:full has generous support from our coworkers, customers, and Ambassadors.  We’ve already donated more than 600,000 meals—more than half of our goal!  With the help of a four leaf clover or two, Roth Staffing hopes to get closer to the 1 million meal mark.
