20 Days of Kindness: Day One

When your Purpose is “To make life better for the people we serve,” every day is an opportunity to do good things and do the right thing for others.  Never is this more fitting than during the final 20 days leading up to Roth Staffing Companies’ Platinum Anniversary on August 15, 2014!

Throughout the next 20 days, we’re filling the Roth Staffing Facebook page with heartwarming and genuine acts of kindness completed by our coworkers who are passionate about fulfilling our Purpose both inside and outside of the office.  Read on to learn what random acts of kindness Roth Staffing coworkers have promoted today, and don’t forget to visit our Facebook page daily to read more inspiring stories!

“David is our building’s security guard and front line of defense.  He is always warm and welcoming to Ambassadors, Roth Staffing’s temporary employees who represent us on assignment.  I purchased him a Dunkin Donuts gift card to show our appreciation for him!”

“Every morning during my commute, I notice how many frustrated drivers cut each other off in traffic.  I made a special effort today to let everyone merge into my lane when I saw them struggling to move over.  It may not be much, but at the end of the day I feel good knowing that I made someone’s commute—and life—better in a small way.”

“A new coworker is very health conscious, so I bought her a veggie smoothie to welcome her to the team in a healthy way!”

“I live across the street from a beach that sees heavy foot traffic.  Every day, I see a lady walk the street and ask for money.  Today, the 20 Days of Kindness campaign inspired me to give her some money to help out.”

“A team and I are developing a non-profit organization aimed at enabling underprivileged children access to higher education.  We decided that today, the first of the 20 Days of Kindness, should be our first meeting to get the ball rolling on our plan!”
