20 Days of Kindness: Helping a Family in Need

“On my way home from work, I saw a man standing on the side of the road with his family.  He was smiling and holding a handmade sign that read ‘Honest, hardworking painter.  Please take my card.  I have great references.’  I asked him for a stack of cards to hand to my friends and also provided some money for his family’s dinner.  It was a great ending to my day.”

Heather, Irvine, CA

“My neighbor was going out of town and couldn’t find anyone to water her flowers.  She was afraid they would die of heat!  I gladly volunteered to take care of her garden.”

“My waiter at dinner last night was a college student.  At the end of the meal, my companion and I left him a $100 tip and wrote on the bill that he should purchase something fun or supplies for school.  We snuck out of the restaurant before he could see us do it, but we peeked back through the window.  His reaction was priceless!”

“An Ambassador’s car has stopped working so she was without a ride.  I spotted her at the bus stop and gave her a ride home.  She got home in 30 minutes instead of 2 hours!”

“My coworker’s son just went into the U.S. Navy and she’s missing him dearly.  I put a floral arrangement on her desk to let her know that we’re all here for her.”

“One of my Ambassadors takes the train to work.  I bought him a monthly pass to ease his burden a little and say thank you for being such a great representative of our company.”

“I enjoyed helping an older woman pump gas at Costco as part of the 20 Days of Kindness.”

“I love working with one of my coworkers, but I don’t like their alma mater.  Upon their arrival at work this morning, I serenaded this coworker with their college fight song.  I received a hug and a massive smile for my efforts!”

Andrew, West Palm Beach, FL

“I drove my friends to the Los Angeles airport late last night so they didn’t have to pay for a cab.  I also called the manager of the professional who towed my car last month and raved about what a great job he had done!”
