The American Business Awards has recognized Roth Staffing’s Senior Vice President, Robert Hankin, as an IT Executive of the Year in its Stevie Awards program. Hankin was named a Finalist for the IT Executive of the Year Award for his role in leading various teams including the management information systems (MIS), project management, development, and help desk teams to achieve several technology milestones, and also filling an unexpected vacancy as the head of Roth Staffing’s finance and accounting department.
Hankin is one of three Finalists for the IT Executive of the Year Award out of thousands of nominees submitted in the 2014 American Business Awards, the nation’s foremost business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations—public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small. Stevie Award Finalists were selected by an independent judging panel of more than 150 business professionals and executives nationwide.
Hankin will receive a Gold, Silver, or Bronze Stevie Award at the September Stevie Award banquet in San Francisco to recognize his extensive list of accomplishments. He is responsible for leading several successful teams, achieving notable technology milestones for Roth Staffing, and acting as interim Vice President of Finance & Accounting while simultaneously managing his other duties.
In 2013, Hankin’s business development team revolutionized Roth Staffing’s proprietary video interviewing technology—the first of its kind within the industry and an achievement implemented by Hankin in 1998—and completed an internal sales dashboard interface that positioned Roth Staffing sales coworkers for a 13% increase in sales activity. Hankin also oversaw the finance teams including payroll, accounts payable, and credit and collections when the Vice President of Finance & Accounting position opened in 2013.
“I view the Information Technology Executive of the Year Award not as an individual recognition, but as a reflection upon my teams and their continuous efforts,” said Robert Hankin. “I’m proud and consider myself lucky to work alongside such talented coworkers. Collectively, we make life better for the people we serve by creating user-friendly, revolutionary technologies that meet the needs of our coworkers, customers, and Ambassadors—Roth Staffing’s temporary employees.”
Hankin is just one of the coworkers recognized by the 2014 American Business Awards. Roth Staffing Companies’ President & COO, Adam Roth, earned a Gold Stevie Award and was named Executive of the Year for Business Services at the June Stevie Award banquet. The American Business Awards honored Roth for building innovative employee engagement programs and implementing elements such as Roth Staffing’s Outcome Management Process, a coworker-led performance review aimed at increasing communication between supervisors and coworkers.
