Ledgent Selects Winner of the ASWA/AWSCPA Conference Registration Giveaway

Ledgent, the accounting & finance business line of Roth Staffing Companies, L.P., is pleased to recognize Dolores Lara as the winner of the ASWA/AWSCPA Conference Registration Give-Away.

Selected by a panel of Ledgent and American Society of Women Accountants (ASWA) judges, Dolores will receive a free conference registration to the Annual Conference for Women in Accounting and a $500.00 American Express Gift Card to help pay for travel expenses.

The annual conference is held every year by the ASWA and the American Woman’s Society of Certified Public Accountants (AWSCPA), providing women in the accounting & finance industry with the opportunity to network, recruit, and learn from more than 400 decision makers.

“ASWA is an integral part of my life – receiving much more than I have given,” says Dolores Lara, who celebrated 25 years of membership this year.

Through the years, Dolores has served as Chapter President, Area Director, and participated in board positions and committees. Nationally, she has been part of the National Nominating Committee and has been a session speaker at the National Convention. Dolores has received the “Accountant of the Year” and “Volunteering Excellence” awards for her contributions. Currently, Dolores is the Director on the Orange County board and serves as the Employment Opportunities Chair.

“Dolores’s dedication to ASWA both nationally and at her local chapter in Orange County for the past 25 years makes her a natural choice to win this award. Thank you to Ledgent for sponsoring this contest and supporting ASWA and the Annual Conference for Women in Accounting.” – Monika P. Miles, ASWA 2011-2012 National Board of Directors and Silicon Valley Chapter President

“We received many incredible nominations this year but Dolores’s essay certainly stood out. I was inspired by her accomplishments. Dolores exemplifies the spirit of ASWA and we are so proud to sponsor her at the Annual Conference for Women in Accounting in Charlotte this year!” – Julie Hagan Porter, Roth Staffing Companies Senior Vice President Professional Services
