New data reveals that the average cost for healthcare per employee will surpass the $10,000 mark next year.
Analysis by Aon Hewitt, a division of Aon Corp., forecasts that large companies will on average pay $10,475 for healthcare premiums per employee in 2012. This is up 7% from $9,702 in 2011.
The firm sites an aging workforce as one of the primary factors for this increase.
