We’re excited to announce that our very own Market Director in the Boston area, Roman Ward, has been newly appointed to the Greater Boston Advisory Board (GBAB) of the Salvation Army. In his new role on the board, Roman will work with the local leadership for the Salvation Army to help make critical decisions regarding initiatives in the Greater Boston area. “I’ll have the opportunity to join various subcommittees such as their young leaders in the Echelon program, community engagement, volunteer management, and finance,” Roman said. He looks forward to furthering his involvement by joining additional committees.
The Salvation Army is an internationally known charitable organization, offering wide-scale volunteer efforts and fundraising to those in need at local and global levels. They are estimated to serve approximately 30 million Americans every year, and serve those in need globally in 130 other countries.
Roman first became involved with the Salvation Army through a professional connection, and his dedication to the organization grew from there. Community service is an essential part of Roman’s life. In addition to his involvement with this organization, he volunteers with INROADS and Cradles to Crayons. He is also the Co-Founder/Leader of Roth Staffing’s BlackWallSt@Roth, our company’s Black coworker and allies Coworker Resource Group (CRG).
Professionally, Roman is an expert in the staffing and recruiting field, with over 13 years of experience in the industry. He began his career in staffing in government contracts and DoD top secret clearance projects and has extensive organizational management and leadership training with a focus on learning and development. He has now been a part of Roth Staffing Companies for four years and currently serves as Market Director, overseeing the Boston locations of Ultimate Staffing for administrative hiring and Ledgent for finance & accounting hiring. Inspired by his peers every day, Roman prides himself on working through challenges and finding a positive solution in the face of adversity. An avid sports fan who loves all things OU, Dallas, Manchester United, and Go ARMY beat NAVY, Roman is often found on the soccer field and basketball court coaching his son on the weekends. Roman is an alumnus of Bryant University.
